Saffron Grade A Tincture

Our saffron tincture is a 3% tincture and aged since June 2022. At 3% it is just to give this scent mildly and faintly in a perfume. We did not intend it as a starting material for resinoid production that is why it was done at low concentration.

This tincture went into several of our compositions. We pick the best varieties of fresh grade A saffron, because saffron has many grades and loses its olfactory properties quickly the longer its stored. That is why it has to be tinctured super fresh.

The material has not been ground because we want a very faint saffron smell, rather like an enfleurage than a power resinoid-producing tincture.
